Damask Delight....
Honored with a win at the LaConner Quilt and Textile Museum  First
International Judged and Juried show......http://www.laconnerquilts.com/quilt-fest

Two wins, two ribbons
So sad still... no one to share
A happy moment..

Yes, the deep sadness lingers following the death of my dearly beloved husband,
yet this win puts a light in the gloom.

Good for you, Carole. This is well deserved--a really beautiful jacket. It's a lovely early step back toward joy. Best to you.

Congratulation Carole, and a certain welcome ray of sunshine in your life, may it keep shining and the days get brighter for you.

Congratulations, Carole. I love the jacket! Was it a pattern? I like to make the occasional jacket and this looks like one that I would like to make.

No, it was a pattern I made up but based on one I had used before.

I had cut the pieces then used the bias strips to accent lines and

highlight parts of the dyed linen. You could use any jacket pattern,

I would think and add the strips just as you please.

I hope you will make one and let us know.
