Post # 100!!!

Can you believe it!! 100 of these... I am surprised that 100 days have actually passed since I started this. Today was a tough day on the Interstate 5 going through Northern California.
I will do my best on this...


Haiku:
Wind and rain and snow!
Terrible!! Blinding.... CHAINS!!
Cold..scared and now safe.


Yes. it was difficult... for a good two hours we moved at 5 mph... in a tight and compact caravan-style movement... thousands of us on the road!
An old adage.... 'All is well that ends well'... and it has...

Day #99...

Splish, splash.. not a bath!
RAIN... water squishing a mist
a FOG on the road.

At times the road was difficult to see, especially
behind the big trucks.. splashing up a mist worse than
a shower!

#98..

It was quiet, still...
In fact, a snowy quiet.
Quite unusual...


travelling into the High Desert we were very surprised to see
snow on the foothills .. very low... a first for us in 20 years.

Day 97...March weather

Well below normal,
WIND! huffing, puffing, blowing,
clouds with rain in tow...

It is March indeed.... blustery, cold air, moisture
and wind development... temperatures on the shy side.

Day 96... Spring

Turn about, ABRUPT!
Now very cool.... and windy..
Right out of the blue!

It is past the Ides of March... but I can't help wondering..
from whence doth this turnabout come??

Exhausted! and Spent!
Come, look!! It is closer now!
Tired, a Super Moon....

Tonight is the Super Full Moon, closer and larger than in some 18 or so years.

I am very tired tonight, but a look at the moon was so worth it!

SMASHED! SUCKED OUT! DESTROYED!!
Ugly in fact and in deed...
A people awash...

Just can't get those photos out of my mind... a people totally in despair and
distress...and it gets worse...
Have you ever wondered why these things happen?

Melting in the sun
Aches and pains, worries and fears...
Beach bunnies... and me.

Glorious warm weather, just lying listlessly in the
penetrating heat.. melting, merging.... cares? what cares?...

Wait!! Now it sounds different..
A mocckingbird sings.

The smallish, skittish mockingbird is prolific with song...
many different songs in fact. I have been trying desperately to get a picture of it, but as soon as I get my sights set... aways it flies, and sings elsewhere!

Lost... concentrating
So hard to..just get it right
A labour of love...

I am working on a piece that is of an old building... buildings are hard!
I have just spent 6 hours LOST in deep concentration!

Yes... it is so!!!! My husband, suffering for 4 months with eyesight loss, ocular injections
and ... still ... hope... well today the doc said his eyesight has improved to the point where his eyesight places him in the 'legal' category... HOORAY!!

It is spring no doubt
Today with no shirt or top
Touched , caressed with rays...

this Haiku springs forth from being outside, scantily clad, enjoying the
penetrating heat of the sun.

Based on the study of 'negativity' in ART... now that I know...

Oh dear...When? ...Ever???
I thought the bleeding would stop!
Small bumps.. and it starts...

Getting over a painful experience... why does it take so long?? why can't it just be done!
Why does this have to go on... I am trying... good grief!! I am giving it my best!!

This Haiku is written to reflect the emotions and tough time someone very, very, very dear to me is going through.... the age old cliche is... 'time eventually heals'...
